Overview of the position:
This position will be responsible for providing support to our Life Operations Contact Center, which is comprised of a group of approximately 500 employees.  In addition to providing human capital solutions to the contact center, the successful incumbent will spend 25% of their time supporting the HR Retirement Plan Groups Operations team on driving out their aggressive HR agenda in the organization design/effectiveness and talent space.  
 
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the business performance by providing strategic consulting on people strategies, organizational effectiveness and other human capital or business initiatives.

  • Provide thought leadership and consulting support to business unit management on matters of goal setting, policy development, and strategic implementation in support of achieving corporate objectives and business growth, as well as on the human capital strategies necessary for them to achieve their goals and objectives.

  • Engage and influence our key business leaders to form the Human Capital strategy and plan along with the organizational requirements to execute that strategy.  Conduct in-depth analysis of current and future needs of the organization and develop strategies and plans to meet those needs.  Provide managers with human capital management information through technology and provide analysis of trends and issues.

  • Act as change agent to the business, design processes and approaches to prepare the organization for both ongoing change and transformation as well as significant change associated with non-organic and organic growth.  

  • Drive talent management agenda including key talent identification, planning, development, and recruitment

  • Promote, facilitate, and support an environment that is diverse and inclusive through recruitment, selection and retention of employees.  Maximize compensation, reward and recognition programs.

  • Identify work environment strategies to increase productivity, employee performance, and employee satisfaction and design metrics to track effectiveness of these initiatives.   Implement short and long-range strategic plans to continually improve organizational effectiveness.

  • Lead initiatives for cross company and cross departmental functional work through the creation of programmatic plans with common objectives, goals, and initiatives.

  • Participates as a leader or member of project teams focusing on both HR and enterprise-wide organizational issues.


Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 5 years related experience as a human resources generalist.

  • Proven organizational design and effectiveness experience.

  • Proven experience and depth with talent management and talent development.

  • Proven ability to understand the business needs of customers.

  • Demonstrated experience in building effective and influential relationship with key senior leaders

  • Strong execution skills

  • Experience in leading organizations through change management.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide practical, solution-driven initiatives and human resource processes that are perceived as quickly adding value to the business.

  • Credibility as a trusted advisor and confidant to senior management.

  • Knowledge of organizational development techniques and performance management.

  • Strong business acumen, project management skills, successful teaming with colleagues, and a strong results orientation.

  • A highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals.

  • A high energy, results-oriented and resourceful leader who is capable of quickly taking control of his/her responsibilities and establishing himself/herself as a credible strategic business partner.
