Internal Job Title: Solutions Engineer Advisor Sr.
Location: Atlanta, GA

The Solutions Engineer Advisor Sr - J2EE & Integration position is responsible for programming on specific application subsets of the company's application portfolio, participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms.

Create and facilitate high level technical solutions; partner with leads and architects; lead technical data integration solutions design; develop detailed design through collaboration with developers and BSAs; conduct design reviews and walkthroughs; conduct code walkthroughs for all implemented changes; ensure finished products meet design and technical specifications; design the framework to compare end to end validations; develop the workflow framework for wider team use; build payload data in JSON; performance tune, monitor and troubleshoot processes; guide on-shore and off-shore vendor resources; write complex SQL statements, views, triggers, queries and stored procedures; present to technical and non-technical business stakeholders.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains active relationships with Product Owner to understand business requirements, leads requirements gathering meetings and reviews designs with the product owner.
  • Leads efforts with Integration/User Interfaces.
  • Owns the backlog and coordinates with other teams as necessary for backlog grooming.
  • Develops and owns Program Increment list of features.
  • Develops and defines application scope and objectives and supervises the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.
  • Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.
  • Ensures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan.
  • Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning effort.
  • Coordinates and manages on-call support and owns the system monitoring process.
  • Owns the technical development environment and works on the Enterprise team.
  • Leads multiple or large projects and facilitates large group JAD sessions for user stories
Qualifications
  • Requires an BA/BS degree in related field (Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering - Computer focused) or technical institute training;
  • 7 or more years related experience (combined Developer/Programmer with experience supporting/interfacing with business stakeholders); multi-platform experience, and expert level experience with business and technical applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, and provide troubleshooting support.
  • Multi database and/or multi language preferred.
  • Work experience should include 5 or more years working as Tech lead and/or Solution Architect roles.
  • Work experience should include 7 or more year's hands on experience using J2EE tools WebSphere Tomcat IHS F5 Siteminder Datapower.
  • Micro services experience
  • Familiar with Architectural design patterns and microservices
  • Familiar with Integration scenarios such as Message Queues, Kafka, File transfer integration, web services.
  • Familiar with Interfaces such as REST web services, swagger profiles, JSON payloads.
  • Familiar with dev ops such as Bitbucket / Bamboo / Jira / Confluence
  • Hands on Test driven Development
  • Hands on experience working with MDM tools (Initiate, Informatica)
  • Hands on experience working with Oracle databases.
  • Work experience in Agile (Scrum) development teams required.
