Large, international oil & gas firm with interests in the Gulf of Mexico and other deepwater fields throughout the world requires a Senior Joint Venture Accountant.

Job description

• Responsible for analysis and audit coordination of joint ventures in accordance to Joint Operating Agreements


• Develop all necessary knowledge of all joint operating agreements


• Ensure compliance with legislation and requirements of the authorities


• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, internal policies and external joint operating agreements


• Ensure correct quality of the joint venture accounting


• Coordinate partner audits of operated joint ventures


• Participate in audits of non operated joint ventures


• SAP support within joint venture accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting


• 6 years experience within accounting and controlling in the oil and gas industry


• 2 years of joint venture audit experience


• Understanding of accounting principles relevant for the oil and gas industry


• Experience within US joint venture accounting and familiar with COPAS


• Knowledge and experience of the SAP system, especially within joint venture accounting


• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
