Position: Senior Level Environmental Engineer / Environmental Project Manager 

Office Location: Mountain View, California 94043 (Bay Area)

Our client; a well respected, forward thinking, and employee owned full service Environmental Consulting firm actively seeks a Senior Level Environmental Engineer / Environmental Project Manager to join its growing Mountain View, CA office.

Ideal and most qualified environmental consulting industry professional must have considerable to significant environmental consulting industry experience preferable pertaining to the designing, installing and operating of groundwater remediation and water treatment systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in engineering (may be civil, chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering preferred)

Strong experience and knowledge of water chemistry, treatment operations, hydrologic processes, environmental regulations related to water and waste treatment, water recycling, and practical experience executing environmental engineering projects.

Must have strong communication skills

Experience dealing with project clients, proposals and scopes of work development, engineering plans, specifications, permitting, subcontractor oversight and project documentation.

California Professional Civil Engineer, PE; and/or LEED certification is preferred but not required.

Current 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification is required.

Primary Role & Responsibilities:

Environmental Engineer must have a minimum of five plus (5+) years of environmental consulting industry experience and the skills and experience to assist, support, and manage environmental water treatment and water re-use projects. Must be capable of assisting in the development and review of technical reports, engineering plans and specifications; development of work plans for field investigations and remediation, regulatory and closure reports; and direct communication with clients and regulatory agencies.

Consulting expertise core services include environmental site assessments, engineering and remediation, risk assessment and modeling, environmental planning and compliance, litigation support, air programs, and water services. Firm has over 25 years of experience and expertise with hazardous and radiological contaminants in soil, ground water, surface water, sediments, and sludges.
