The Environmental Claims Division specializes in the management of claims that are complex/high exposure latenet injury claims . We are currently recruiting for a Senior Claim Specialist/ Sr. Litigation Specialist to join the Environmental Claims Division located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

• Investigates and evaluates coverage in relation to current applicable case law resulting in a coverage determination.
• Investigates, researches and analyzes complex/high exposure latent injury claims including the legal issues that effect liability, damages and coverage for these claims.
• Evaluates and recommends reserves and settlement values on assigned cases.
• Assigns lawsuits to counsel: directs counsel's handling: develops a plan of action with counsel to resolve claims; monitors application of litigation management program including monitoring and approving expense budgets.
• Conducts negotiations on assigned cases. Attends pretrials, trials and mediations/settlement conferences.
• Prepares reports to management for reporting files, diligently documents and maintains claim files. Diligently updates, reviews and utilizes our quest database.
• Manages and successfully complete project work as assigned, including comprehensive reserve studies.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 6 or more years of related experience.
• Works within broad limits on highly complex assignments requiring specialized knowledge in breadth and / or depth within area of environmental claims.
