Senior MVS Systems Programmer
About the Job
Senior Systems Programmer with extensive MVS expertise with is needed to join the team of a large financial firm. Must have extensive experience performing capacity planning and enterprise performance management. Additional responsibilities will include setting up and optimizing SNA and IP based network connectivity and the idea candidate will also possess strong knowledge of VTAM, NDM, TCPIP, FTP, BMC, MICS, SAS and MXG technologies. This experienced legacy systems expert will also provide expertise in monitoring, trending reporting and cost allocation/service level reporting and will coordinate with external entities to optimize connectivity realted to large file transfers and foreign applications including testing and validation. The ideal candidate will be able to function as the point person for all performance and capacity data tuning and handle ad hoc requests. To be considered you must possess 7+ years of experience with MVS systems with an emphasis on network connections and performance analysis.
