Position Description:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maximize the conversion of automotive trial subscribers through the development and management of direct marketing programs (managed through monthly sales rate goals)
  • Develop business cases to support rollout of new programs.
  • Work with Marketing Research group to develop primary/secondary research as needed
  • Develop, or lead efforts through partnering Analysis teams, program performance tracking, reporting, and analysis that supports conversion marketing efforts
  • Actively identify, develop, test, implement new and manage existing aspects of the automotive marketing (CRM) programs/program elements
  • Manage CRM for a primary, and potentially several secondary, automotive partners
  • Develop/maintain or oversee the development/maintenance of vendor feed specs through IT/Marketing Ops
  • Participate in the ongoing management and tracking of the related Marketing Budget to ensure monthly / annual spending is on target.
  • Manage of agency/vendors along with internal support organizations (eg Legal) for mail, email and other marcom execution, 
  • Manage, through internal teleservices support organizations, outbound telemarketing programs, including but not limited to file feeds, list suppression, scripting oversight and overall sales performance
  • Other duties as assigned

 
Minimum Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing/business or equivalent combination of education and experience; MBA a plus
  • Hands-on management of direct marketing with a minimum of 5 years experience in direct mail and 5 years experience in marketing capacity.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience developing, executing and testing/measuring performance of telemarketing programs.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience developing, executing and testing/measuring performance of direct mail and email programs.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing third party agencies, and/or internal support teams, through development and execution phases; including creative, mailhouse, printers and data providers/IT resources.
  • Specific direct marketing program development experience in telemarketing, email and direct mail, including creative delivery, customer targeting and program execution in a matrixed environment.
  • Specific experience collaborating with call center teams to build and execute high-impact telemarketing campaigns and programs, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of privacy and solicitation laws.
