Senior Manager, International Corporate Services

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager to join us in our Atlanta office.

KPMG’s International Corporate Services (ICS) practice strives to help companies as they work to achieve tax efficiency in their international operations. From major multinationals already operating in several countries to small businesses planning their first foray abroad, companies face a daunting array of regulations and tax concerns that impact – and inform – their global business decisions. With international perspective and local experience, our ICS professionals provide practical advice on establishing new ventures and contracts, structuring overseas transactions in a tax-efficient manner, managing their effective tax rates, and maintaining compliance with tax and trade regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an international tax advisor to clients in a range of industries on international tax services and offerings
• Assist with business development for the expansion of services at existing clients and for attracting new clients
• Work collaboratively with other practice groups within tax, the firm, as well non-U.S. KPMG member firms to bring the right services and expertise to address and resolve client issues
• Manage, direct, monitor, and deliver multiple client engagements
• Maintain active communication with clients in an effort to manage expectations and help ensure client satisfaction
• Research domestic and international tax matters
• Research, write, and review client tax advice
• Manage and direct international aspects of outsourced or co-sourced compliance and other quantitative oriented international tax engagements
• Monitor and convey to clients information regarding U.S. technical developments as well as their application to Federal and International tax issues
• Manage, supervise, and mentor other team members
• Oversee the billing process in accordance with firm requirements

Qualifications:

• Eight years of broad experience in international corporate taxation
• Previous experience with several of the following common international tax planning areas: Outbound Transactional Structuring, Subpart F and 954(h), Inbound Transactional Structuring, Check the Box Principles, U.S. Tax Treaty Research and Interpretation, Repatriation Strategies, Intellectual and Intangible Property Planning, Structured Finance, Base Shifting, FSC/EIE, Foreign Tax Credit Planning, Transfer Pricing, and International Mergers and Acquisitions
• Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university
• Licensed CPA or Attorney
• Strong planning, research, and communication skills, as well as general knowledge of corporate tax compliance
• Solid understanding of FAS 109 and U.S. federal taxation
• Demonstrated ability to develop business
