Senior Manager, Learning Technology - Global Learning Deployment

The Senior Manager, within Ingersoll Rand University (IRU) Global Deployment, will report to the Director, Global Learning Deployment and be responsible for designing, deploying, and evaluating distributed learning and knowledge management solutions across the Ingersoll Rand enterprise. Responsibilities include oversight for the effectiveness and efficiency of the global enterprise-wide learning management system (LMS). The appropriate candidate will architect enterprise learning solutions and consult on learning technology projects. The Senior Manager, Learning Technology, plays a pivotal role in the transformation of Ingersoll Rand into a world class learning organization.

Position Responsibilities:

* Key role in the annual IRU strategic planning and needs assessment process to identify opportunities for learning technology solutions to drive the business forward. Functions include: distributed learning (including virtual), on-line, informal, and blended solutions, as well as knowledge management.
* Provide leadership for the design, development and implementation of learning technology solutions for IRU's curriculum delivery, job performance tools, social learning, and knowledge management
* Lead the IRU Center-of Excellence (COE) for Ingersoll Rand's learning technology, engaging with learning professionals across the enterprise
* Develop and administer measurement tools, including business impact and ROI, to improve the effectiveness of the IRU learning technology solutions
* Oversee the usability, reliability, functionality, performance and support of the IRU enterprise-wide learning management system (LMS)
* Develop and maintain an external network of contacts for benchmarking industry and learning technology to ensure consistently cutting-edge knowledge of best practices
* Ensure learning solutions are aligned and integrated with IR's enterprise-wide talent management processes and systems
* Manage a network of external suppliers including consultants, vendors, educational institutions and professionals providing learning technology services and products
* Consult with and educate IRU colleagues on applications of learning technologies
* Lead and manage an internal IRU team of learning technologists
* Collaborate and learn with a team of award-winning IRU professionals

Qualifications:

* Master's degree in instructional technology preferred. Master's degree in adult learning, organizational development, and or human resources, with a strong emphasis in instructional technology will be considered.
* Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in developing and delivering learning technology in a fast-paced, global, highly matrixed industry
* Strong knowledge of instructional technology's role in adult learning
* Strong knowledge of business operations and related issues is critical (business acumen)
* Strong consultative skills and ability to work with all levels of management
* Must have excellent project and program management skills focused on overseeing resources, timelines, budgets and project deliverables
* Instructional design capabilities and familiarity in applying learning measurement tools including business impact
* Effective executive communication skills (verbal and written)
* Experience presenting recommendations to Senior Leaders and Strategy or Advisory boards
* Minimum of 5+ years of management experience.
* Ability and willingness to travel 5-10%
