Job Title | Senior Manager, Marketing - Tysabri | Location | Wellesley,MA | Requisition Number | 11173BR | Job Description | Leads development and tactical execution of US marketing plans and programs in support of company/brand objectives of volume, market share, and profitability. Acts as liaison with internal and external partners to lead and guide brand tactics. May support/participate in large Commercial projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities: - Organize, lead and manage logistics and tactical execution of marketing programs directed at key target audiences for TYSABRI professional marketing initiatives - Serve as a liaison with internal strategic partners and external agencies and vendors - Responsible for effectively managing timelines between marketing agencies and internal support areas to ensure timely completion of marketing tactics - Update and maintain budget responsibility for key marketing activities - Participate in the brand planning process - Act as brand advocate to gain proper alignment with brand strategies - Consider implications of changing competitive landscape on marketing activities . - Develop strong relationships with field sales force, including ride-alongs with sales representatives and attendance at sales meetings, as well as develop and maintain strong relationships with other functional areas (i.e.,Medical Affairs, Patient Services, MM&R, Commercial Training, Regulatory, Legal, and Sales) - Contribute to the development of presentation materials to Sr. Management - Develop and present materials to sales and sales management  | Qualifications | - Minimum 5 plus years commercial health care / prior marketing experience - Solid understanding of key marketing principles - Ability to manage external brand agencies and vendors on a day-to-day basis and - Ability to manage promotional budgets - Understand process in obtaining approval for promotional pieces materials through the medical, regulatory and legal promotional review process - Excellent planning, analysis, project and budget management skills, with experience managing multiple projects against a timeline - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work and manage cross-functional teams - Demonstrates understanding of Pharma/Biotech commercial products, (BIIB and relevant competitor product knowledge), market dynamics and practice settings - Detail oriented, strong quantitative and analytical ability - Ability to understand and communicate highly scientific and technical medical information - Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong presentation skills - Demonstrated success in persuasion, influence, and negotiation skills - Demonstrated business acumen - Ability to travel up to 25% - Prior field sales and CRM experience preferred | | About Biogen Idec: Transforming Discovery into Care
