Reporting the CFO, the Senior Manager of Payer Contracting and Analysis oversees all aspects of the management of the reimbursement contracting functions of Meriter Health Services, including contracting with HMOs, PS, self-funded employer programs and various other third party payers. The position also has a significant role in analysis and is responsible for analysis of programs and profitability, cost accounting, decision support, reporting, and healthcare reform/care redesign financial support.
Key activities include, but are not limited to:
~Aligning reimbursement contracts with Meriter strategies and goals.
~Utilizing managed care contract knowledge, analytical abilities, and healthcare data expertise to lead teams which are working on healthcare reform pilots and other projects.
~Preparing for and leading contract negotiations and interfacing with payers, working collaboratively to develop products and services which meet the needs of our payers and communities.
~Overseeing the development of business plans, program analyses, and partnerships with business development to analyze new opportunities.
~Using reporting systems to put needed information in the hands of key users and management to gain insight and influence decisions.
The ideal candidate will possess:
~Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
~CPA Designation or Masters Degree
~5 years of supervisory experience
~5 years of healthcare experience
~5 years of financial management experience OR managed care experience
~Previous experience collecting, interpreting, and utilizing analytic data
Preferred qualifications include:
~Masters Degree in Finance, Healthcare Management, or Business Administration
~3 years public accounting experience
~3 years healthcare regulatory experience
~3 years insurance industry experience
~3 years experience in analysis of healthcare data and claims
