The Seller Websites Product organization is looking for a talented senior leader to lead a team of product owners developing industry-leading multi-channel commerce software for sellers of any scale. This leader will own the strategy and roadmap for the best in class ecommerce product that enables sellers of any size to easily sell their products through their own branded website, phone catalog sales, store ordering, and on Amazon. This role calls for an individual who can demonstrate sound product management skills (analytical, business judgment, communication, product discipline) in addition to being technically smart to build credibility with customers and stakeholders most of whom are technical professionals. This Senior Product Manager is expected to evangelize the team's product components to other Amazon groups, external system integrators and retailer IT teams and will be the primary conduit for getting requirements from these customers. The ideal candidate will possess both a technical background that enables them to easily interact with customers, software developers and business development managers and a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges. In addition, the person should have experience taking a large software product to market in the eCommerce or retail areas. The Senior Product Manager will lead a distributed virtual team of product component owners applying common methodology for competitive analysis, product strategy and roadmaps, and market analysis to build the industry leading ecommerce product for sellers of all sizes, from individual sellers to multi-billion dollar retailers. Job Qualifications Candidate must possess exceptional customer experience judgment and be incredibly analytical and creative. The person must also be a strong leader who can drive consensus across a large, distributed organization and be an excellent communicator who can articulate feature trade offs and product design choices in front of senior executives. Candidate will have a proven track record of transforming a vision into fully rationalized product definitions and delivering the product to a significant number of end users. This person should also have superior people management and collaborative skills with an established record of crafting a unified product definition that incorporates innovation and strategy from domain experts.
