The Role: Senior Tax Manager
The successful candidate will help lead the firm’s tax practice, manage and mentor staff, and assist the partners in firm management and business development. The candidate will also research complex tax issues and provide direction to staff and partners.
Specific duties will include:
•Provide top-notch client service to a group of individuals, privately-held companies and their principals.
•Seek to strengthen client relationships and identify additional service opportunities.
•Manage engagements. Assign and review staff work. Mentor staff.
•Assist, as time permits, with audit and consulting engagements.
•Special projects as needed.
Requirements
Most importantly, qualified candidates will be CPA’s with current experience in public accounting serving C Corps, S Corps, LLC’s, trusts, foundations and high-net-worth individuals.
S/he will be an accomplished researcher and manager and will, ideally, have exposure to audit and services such as valuations, business consulting and litigation support.
Additional requirements
•BS in Accounting. CPA.
•7-12 years of public accounting experience.
•An ability to research complex tax issues.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Management and staff development experience.

This position is open, in part, due to the promotion of a Senior Manager to Partner. The firm remains open to admitting new partners and will give strong consideration to the Senior Manager who demonstrates the ability and initiative necessary for such a promotion.
