Senior Manager, Vendor Management, Retail/Digital Software

We're looking for an exceptionally motivated, analytical, strategic and results-oriented Senior Manager, Vendor Management to manage retail software vendor relationships and our digital software strategy.  The successful candidate will be responsible for digital selection expansion, identifying new business opportunities, building direct relationships with key suppliers to offer an authoritative selection, negotiating contracts, terms & conditions, managing and improving business and ingestion processes, pricing, developing collaborative marketing and impactful promotions, and driving sales and margin improvements. In addition, the  Senior Manager must be an effective leader and communicator in working with Amazon.com partners and vendors, as well as with internal groups such as technical teams, control buying, site merchandising, marketing & PR, finance, operations, and retail systems.

 

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and business development. Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are musts. The Senior Manager is an effective leader and communicator and a seasoned problem-solver.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in retail or e-commerce desired
  • Vendor management, product management, operations, or finance background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven negotiating skills and influencing abilities
  • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects
  • Proactive attitude
  • Set program priorities according to goals and drive programs to meet targets.
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with "hands-on" management of day-to-day tasks - experience in implementing action plans and daily resolution of problems & issues to meet objectives
  • Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools
  • BA/BS required, advanced degree a plus
