As a Marketing Communications professional you will create, implement and manage advertising and communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products through development of creative concepts, efficient use of all media and technical production services, and building and supervising a team of communications, design and production professionals. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Plans, develops and successfully implements advertising programs that are aligned with business or corporate marketing and  product objectives.

  • Leads projects with advertising agencies to develop and prepare promotional campaigns, select media and format to inform potential customer of products.  Oversees the selection of media, creation of program concepts, materials preparation and placements.

  • Acts as key resource to provide counsel  to senior management on communications programs for SBU's and departments on a  local, national  or international basis.

  • Develops and coordinates customer communications programs that may include direct mail programs, brochures, TV, web, print advertising or other marketing material.

  • Forecasts, schedules and allocates resources within assigned projects.  Manages outside vendors in developing and supplying communications tools. Ensures projects are completed within desired time frames and quality limits.

  • Proactively manages programs to provide clients with the most appropriate and effective support for their communications/advertising objectives.

  • Evaluates effectiveness of advertising programs through analysis of responses and sales indicators.

  • Creates and manages budgets to ensure optimal results.


Qualifications:


Bachelors degree in communications or equivalent experience required, Masters preferred. Requires 5-7 years of related experience, with at least four in a corporate environment. Advertising agency experience is also helpful. Strong communications skills are required. Advanced writing experience may be required. Familiarity with various computer software and hardware preferred. Requires broad knowledge of Liberty Mutual?s products, market efforts, insurance issues, and customer service needs. Requires advanced knowledge of marketing communications principles and practices.
