
Senior Marketing Manager, Process and Events
Position Description
Leads and manages USIS market segment/customer-facing communications and content development.
Position Responsibilities
- Manages expenses and budget for assigned area of marketing.
- Works with each Division Marketing Manager to create the event strategy for all integrated marketing programs. Develops strategies and tactics to support the introduction of new service solutions, programs, and promotions. Evaluates tactics for effectiveness and introduces innovative event strategy to support the objectives of each business line.
- Creates and implements programs to achieve objectives and aid in growing the business, including but not limited to: direct mail, web, trade shows, videos, PowerPoint presentations, and other multimedia mediums.
- Develop closed-loop process to ensure that both trade and custom events are properly marketed, messaged, staffed, executed, and followed up on.
- Maintain database of leads and ensure process efficiency and follow-through after marketing campaigns. Manage lead flow through sales force automation system. Identify and integrate further marketing automation systems.
- Reports to the Vice President, Marketing with additional accountability to the Vice President of Corporate Communication and Creative Services (CCCS) to ensure coordination and brand adherence.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Communications/Marketing/Business/Management)
- 5+ years working in a marketing role, preferably in a services area/industry; experience in tradeshow planning, coordination and implementation.
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, shared sites (e.g. SharePoint), extensive knowledge of print production process.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing integrated marketing plans and processes.
- History of high-impact, multi-medium, results-oriented marketing programs that are on schedule, within budget, and at the appropriate level of quality.
- Experience participating in the design of web sites, including information and navigation architecture, graphic design, and selection of technology.
- Ability to manage outside vendors and agencies (as necessary) for maximum output and efficiency.
- Demonstrated creativity and experience communicating intangible products (services). Creative ability to think “out of the box”.
- Comprehensive understanding of services business and ability to interact with a wide variety of personnel from different departments and functions.
- Substantial project management experience and the ability to concurrently manage diverse projects in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including demonstrated stand-up presentation skills, group facilitation, and ability to effectively interact with worldwide / international personnel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively in a team-based organization across multiple locations.
- Strong results orientation. Ability to consistently meet and exceed goals. Capable of making commitments, setting priorities, and delivering results on time and on budget.
- Strong project management skills with proven track record of performance and in leading teams.
