Senior Mechanical Engineer- Design & CAD
JOB SUMMARY:Senior mechanical engineer to work in the OCT PIM Project Group. Responsibilities in designing and developing the OCT patient interface module (PIM) mechanical assemblies. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate on team that successfully develops and launches the OCT PIM and family of related accessories. Ownership of design and CAD modeling of the OCT PIM. Interact with Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing and other departments as appropriate. EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required, Masters preferred.KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
10+ years mechanical engineering experience in the field of medical devices and/or precision mechanical instruments/systems. Extensive experience with the design of complex electro-mechanical systems is required. Expertise with SolidWorks CAD is required Experience interfacing to disposable products/catheters is a plus. Imaging experience not required, but desirable Track record of success and appropriate cultural fit.SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong computer skills, generating reports, spreadsheets, presentations. Strong presentation skills, both written and oral Practical application of Design of Experiments (DOE). PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING:
Practical application of 7-step or 9-step problem solving techniques. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Capable of lifting 40lbs from floor to above shoulders. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
