A great engineering firm with beautiful office in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada needs a licensed Mechanical Engineer to work as a Project Manager in its Las Vegas location. Our client is looking for the best of the best, and they will compensate accordingly:
Job Description:
· Project Management and Design of HVAC and Plumbing Systems for hi-rise facilities, gaming, healthcare projects (hospitals), educational buildings and other large scale commercial projects.
· Client programming and interaction with engineers of other disciplines, architects, and city officials. Interaction with contractors.
· Mentoring of junior staff members, including designers and drafters, through the production phase of the project Ability to delegate work to the design team and oversee the total design process.
· Creation of bid packages, on-site field work during the construction phase.
· Performing of heat load calculations, equipment sizing and layout, pipe sizing, and P& ID's for construction documents.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 15 years experience in HVAC and Plumbing Design with proven and demonstrated Project Management experience and ability.
· Ability to design using AutoCAD. Significant experience doing calculations, layout and sizing of HVAC and Plumbing projects.
· Great communication skills, ability to lead projects, etc. Significant client programming skills, ability to work with contractors as well engineers of other disciplines. Knowledge of local and national codes.
· Proven ability to lead and manage teams of Junior Designers and Drafters. Ability to use analysis from energy engineers for the purpose of design.
· Registration as a P.E. in Nevada or other state required, with ability to obtain a Nevada P.E. within 6 months.
· Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
