Senior Medical Writer
This position is responsible for writing and editing clinical documents such as protocols and clinical trial reports, and for drafting manuscripts for publication. Duties will include the following: Draft manuscripts for publication of clinical study results. Under the general supervision of senior medical writers, write and edit clinical protocols, phases I to IV, write and edit clinical study reports and summaries of clinical study reports, investigator brochures, and other such documents for US and international regulatory submissions and in support of the CTI Marketing Department. Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies. Remain abreast of developments in the therapeutic areas in which CTI is doing research, and in clinical documentation requirements through reading professional publications and attending meetings and workshops.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of 5 years experience in clinical writing in the pharmaceutical setting. Must have rigorous attention to accuracy, editorial style and timeliness. Ability to work under time pressure and tight deadlines. Ability to interpret and present complex data clearly and grammatically correctly. Demonstrated knowledge of scientific principles. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to research and write manuscripts for publication. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of ICH guidelines and FDA requirements for clinical documentation.
