Senior Application Developer, .NET Technologies 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a leader on our development team, you will be involved in many of our build projects in which our clients require new or updated functionality for their internet properties, kiosks, or other interactive applications.  We work hard to stay on the cutting edge to deliver innovative solutions to our clients, and most of our projects require the team to learn something new or to be stretched in a way they hadn’t been before.  As a Senior Application Developer, we will expect you to work with a Project Manager and Technical Director to define project scope, provide estimates, and act as a lead developer.  That could mean coordinating a team of four or five to deliver a completely brand-new website over a couple of months, or modifying an AJAX web service call.

Responsibilities will include:

·         Coordination of front-end and back-end developers on one or more projects

·         Application architecture

·         Construction of front-end and back-end code

·         Estimation of project tasks

·         Delivery of project to specifications

·         Being self-directed in finding solutions to problems

·         Being proactive in identifying and handling risk

·         Occasional meetings with clients

Expertise should include:

·         Core understanding of one or more of: C#, Visual Basic .NET, Java, or PHP, expecting to work primarily within a C# environment and occasionally within a PHP environment

·         Three to five years of experiencing developing with C# or Visual Basic .NET in an ASP.NET environment

·         Database development and normalization using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or newer

·         AJAX experience

·         Front-end development experience, including use of jQuery or another front-end library

·         Application deployment on Microsoft IIS 6 and 7

·         Knowledge and proper application of Service Oriented Architecture

·         Great people and communication skills

Desired Skills:

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in MIS, CIS, Computer Science or related field

·         Database querying using LINQ-to-SQL or a related ORM technology

·         Silverlight, Flash, or WPF experience

·         WCF service development

·         Demonstrated commitment to professional development and knowledge evangelism

·         Microsoft certifications
