Senior Network Administrator / Engineer
Brilliance Audio has been a pioneer in spoken word entertainment for over 25 years and is one of the largest independent audiobook publishers. Located in Grand Haven, Michigan, Brilliance Audio (a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon.com) is seeking a Senior Network Administrator / Engineer to join our growing company with plans to triple in sales by 2012. Our criteria include:
- Business or IT related degree and / or technical certification is preferred
- 4+ Years of increasing responsibility in a progressive IT department
- Competency managing Active Directory
- Demonstrated skills in server support including Windows Server 2003/2005, Exchange Server 2007.
- Experience supporting mobile devices via Exchange Active Sync
- Provide 24X7 support to ensure a consistent, stable and secure network infrastructure including firewalls, anti-virus, spam, network backups, VPN security, and disaster recovery planning
- Track and analyze data to prevent network delays/failures, service interruptions, security vulnerabilities, monitor utilization trends, and capacity planning review. If a failure occurs, either a contingency plan had been prepared or root cause analysis and senior level troubleshooting logic is executed
- Must work well under pressure, work independently and be able to prioritize to get the right things done at the right times
- Able to translate detailed technical problems into communicable messages. Listen effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously as well as take a project from concept through design and implementation, and into ongoing operation. This includes documentation, conformance to standards, project planning discipline, contingency planning.
- Produce a consistently high level of quality in your work and incorporate best practices. Automation, repeatability, scalability, and speed of deployment are key components of your solutions
