Serve as a Network Engineer/Project Engineer for a one of the world's largest voice and electronic inter-dealer broker. The Group is active in the wholesale market for OTC Derivatives, fixed income securities, money market products, foreign exchange, energy, credit and equity derivatives. Will be a member of the Network Engineering team responsible for the design and implementation projects and solutions using best practices and procedures adhering to Global Architecture standards to meet business requirements.

These will be business driven projects that require focus for delivery on time and in budget. The Network Engineering team will work closely with the Network Architecture team to ensure the infrastructure is developed according to the defined strategy. The Network Engineering team must ensure the Network Operations team is informed of all changes and all new solutions are handed over with up to date documentation to support the solution.

Requirements:

Requires CCNP certification and prefer a CCIE.

Must have 8+ years of Networking (Voice and Data) experience, preferably 7 series CISCO Routers and 6 series CISCO switches.

Requires experience in large scale network design within complex environments. Need to have experience managing project implementations from design through deployment.  

Requires some knowledge of PIX, Checkpoint Firewalls. Requires in-depth knowledge of Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, & EIGRP). Requires strong knowledge in the following VOIP, Multicast, QOS, Ciscoworks, Authentication systems. Strong Process oriented attitude.

Strong documentation and reporting skills. Strong understanding for the need of process and standardization.

Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate technical matters to senior management.
