Network Engineer III
Job Description:
Be part of a team of high-energy network engineers providing both onsite support and remote managed services to a wide range of clients. This is a fast-paced environment where you can expect to make a significant impact and use a broad range of your skills on a daily basis. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Duties:
· Assist in the development and maintenance of network communications. · Use knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks. · Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. · Provide field service and remote technical support to clients based around Little Rock, and surrounding districts, providing break/fix and installation services to our client base. · Identify opportunities at client sites, translate opportunities into hardware/software recommendations; work with account management team to present proposals, concepts and infrastructure proposals to clients. Including, but not limited to networks, operating systems, file servers, and equipment (including voice, data, local and wide area networks, and video communications) · Ensure that design proposals are following through, developing and following through with implementation and integration steps, setting priorities; staging equipment through final project completion. · Work closely with senior management towards developing state of the art network operations center to allow for full time remote monitoring and management of client networks. Other Duties: · Works hours are flexible Monday-Friday. Requires being part of an on-call rotation. Pager and cell phone provided. May be occasional after hours and weekend work. Requirements: · Essential Skills: network design and implementation, Windows® family of servers and applications, LAN / WAN Knowledge, general IT Consulting skills, large & small system implementation, technical management, ability to implement and enforce system information policies, active directory skills. · Bachelors degree or 5+ years field experience of providing network engineering / consulting services. Microsoft certifications (MCSE) advantageous. · Must possess valid Arkansas Driving License, have own transport, proper insurance with no major traffic violations. Must be able to pass background check.
