The Senior Network Engineer will serve as a technical contact responsible for network management including network infrastructure availability for several assigned managed hosting customers. Acts as primary point of contact for escalations and troubleshooting of advanced network infrastructure and telecommunication issues. Position involves network design and architectural work as well.

 

Position Description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Serve as technical contact responsible for network delivery including infrastructure and network availability for all network infrastructure both internal to OneNeck and customer infrastructure
    • Act as technical point of contact for escalations and troubleshooting of advanced network infrastructure issues
    • Ongoing IT advisor responsible for technical direction of network infrastructure
    • Intimately involved in new customer migrations and implementations
    • Complex troubleshooting of technical network delivery issues
    • Perform installations, configuration, administration and tuning of many network infrastructure systems (see skills below)

 

Skills Necessary:

Implementation, configuration and management of the following:

·         Routers

·         Switches

·         Content delivery systems (CDN, CSS, load balancers)

·         Firewalls

·         Security appliances

TCP/IP and advanced network management experience.

Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, RIP, IGRP, EIGRP.

 

Education:

4 Year Degree or Equivalent Work Experience

 

Years of Related Experience:

6 years directly related experience
