As a management consulting firm, DMT specializes in helping clients to achieve important social outcomes. Its clients are primarily government, foundation and nonprofit organizations serving youth and families in need.


 


Purpose:  The Senior Consultant provides expert training and management consulting solutions to our clients through a mix of remote and face to face interaction.  The SC manages training engagements for clients, delivers material at national training events, facilitates workshops, and provides subject matter expertise in subjects such as: at-risk youth counseling, education, mentoring and job training.  


 


The SC executes DMT’s state of the art, technology-infused training and education curriculum designs for adult learners, and is responsible for cultivating relationships at all levels of client organizations from entry level to senior leadership.


 


Essential Accountabilities:


 


·         Consulting.  Provide face-to-face consulting in a variety of areas including organizational development, capacity building, skills training, change management, program design and development.  Develop and provide on –site and remote assistance to organizations in areas of mentoring program effectiveness, capacity building, and performance management.


 


·         Training.   Design, develop and implement client specific training solutions for classroom, blended and e-learning use for adult learners. 


 


·         Needs Assessment.  Develop and conduct needs assessment in areas of organizational and program effectiveness, identify “best fit” training and technical assistance solutions, identify promising practices and track performance.


 


·         Knowledge Management.  Identify, capture, and distribute research findings, best practices and promising innovations, and facilitate peer-to-peer exchange of information.


 


·         Brand Image.  Proactively reinforce DMT’s corporate values and image on an on-going basis.


 


 


 


 







Education:


 



  • Advanced degree required in education, psychology, public policy, social work, or other related field with an outstanding academic record. M.Ed., MPP, MPPM, MBA, or Masters in Non-Profit Management preferred.

 


Experience:



  • 15 years of experience in a corporate setting or large business unit.

  • Exposure to client relations a plus.

  • Prior training experience a must, including an understanding of instructional system design and curriculum development.

  • Experience designing and developing comprehensive learning programs, including instructor-led and eLearning solutions.

  • Prior experience with mentoring, education, and/or job training programs for at risk youth.

  • Past military experience and a familiarity with government operations and systems

  • Experience consulting for government or non-profit clients strongly preferred.

 


Knowledge/Skills:



  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of training concepts, instructional methods, and adult learning theory, team building methodology and needs analysis.

  • Ability to manage and lead in a high-growth, rapidly changing corporate environment

  • Knowledge of best practices in mentoring, education, and/or job training and placement of at risk youth

  • Solid understanding of instructional system design

  • Strong personal skills possessing adaptability, motivation, and the ability to think ahead and anticipate needs.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, being a great communicator and influencer.

  • Talented presenter and writer

  • Able to translate research and analysis into meaningful information as both a presenter and a writer

  • Advanced knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
