Must be willing to relocate to Central Florida (Orlando, Lakeland, Tampa)
A Senior Level Oracle DBA who will provide technical and project leadership to the Oracle DBA Team. The Oracle DBAs support large scale (over 1 TB) mission critical databases.
• Lead efforts to improve use of exiting Oracle technology and establish Oracle database best practices
• Lead efforts to evaluate and implement Oracle technologies such as RAC and Data Guard as required for internal applications
• Provide technical mentoring to other Oracle DBAs
• Perform application performance tuning related to the DBMS system
• Provide project leadership
• New technology awareness, research and system integration
• DBMS and related system software installation, integration and support
• Database design and physical implementation
• DBMS system monitoring and tuning
• Problem determination and resolution

• Ensuring architectural standards adherence.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or an analytical discipline or equivalent experience
• Must have minimum of 7 years experience managing and administering Oracle 9i,10g, and 11g on large scale (over 1 TB) mission critical databases
• Experience managing large Oracle databases in a high transaction volume environment
• Must have 3 to 5 years experience planning and implementing backup and recovery solutions for large scale Oracle databases with the emphasis on minimizing recovery time
• Must have a thorough understanding of Oracle database related technology to include Data Guard, Automated Storage Space Management, and Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitoring
• Must have a thorough understanding of Oracle running on Windows, HP-UX, AIX and Sun Solaris operating systems
• Must have a thorough understanding of SAN and backup related technologies
• Must have experience in planning and developing system architectures that are linked to the company’s business and product delivery strategies
• Strong Oracle system and SQL performance tuning skills
• Must have technical project leadership experience
• Must be flexible and able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner and must demonstrate ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card)
• Experience using Oracle RMAN and Veritas NetBackup to perform database backups.
• Experience with Oracle RAC. Experience implementing RAC technology for new or existing large scale Oracle databases is a plus.
