Job Title:   Senior Refinery Process Engineer
Location:   Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Role Overview:  The Senior Process Engineer serves as a key technical resource on the refinery engineering staff, providing high-level technical and operational expertise. This includes identifying long-term improvement opportunities within the process area for margin improvement, reliability, and safety.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and operational expertise within the process area
• Identify long-term improvement opportunities (safety, margin improvement, reliability, energy consumption, etc.)
• Implement technologies and identify potential projects to improve unit profitability
• Provide high level monitoring and troubleshooting for the unit and its integral operations
• Lead process design and development activities for the unit area
• Participate actively in Technology-related Network actitivies  
• Mentor less experienced engineers and apply best practices

Background Requirements:

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering 
• Minimum of 5-15 years of Process Engineering work experience in petroleum refining operations
• Strong ability to analyze process unit operational data and recommend course of action
• Knowledge of Fuels and Lubes Refining and Economics
• Experience with equipment strategy, risk assessment, and Hazop techniques
• Computational skills with Pro II/Hextran/InPlant, or similar process simulation software
• Strong organizational skills and oral & written communication skills
• Technical mentoring
