Job Title: Senior Refinery Process Engineer
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Role Overview: The Senior Process Engineer serves as a key technical resource on the refinery engineering staff, providing high-level technical and operational expertise. This includes identifying long-term improvement opportunities within the process area for margin improvement, reliability, and safety.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and operational expertise within the process area
- Identify long-term improvement opportunities (safety, margin improvement, reliability, energy consumption, etc.)
- Implement technologies and identify potential projects to improve unit profitability
- Provide high level monitoring and troubleshooting for the unit and its integral operations
- Lead process design and development activities for the unit area
- Participate actively in Technology-related Network actitivies
- Mentor less experienced engineers and apply best practices
Background Requirements:
- BS degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 5-15 years of Process Engineering work experience in petroleum refining operations
- Strong ability to analyze process unit operational data and recommend course of action
- Knowledge of Fuels and Lubes Refining and Economics
- Experience with equipment strategy, risk assessment, and Hazop techniques
- Computational skills with Pro II/Hextran/InPlant, or similar process simulation software
- Strong organizational skills and oral & written communication skills
- Technical mentoring
