Senior Product Manager / Associate Director US Marketing - Nephrology


 

My client, a small, global, publicly traded biopharmaceutical company, based in CT (2 hours from Boston and 1 ½ hours from NYC) develops drugs that inhibit certain immune system functions that cause auto immune disorders, cancers, and other diseases.  Their marketed product is for the treatment of a rare genetic blood disorder.  They are developing the same antibody as a potential treatment for other auto immune and inflammatory conditions. 

 

 

My client focuses on developing and delivering life-changing therapies for patients with serious and life-threatening conditions.  In addition, they work with patient organizations around the world to sup port patient education programs.

As the company continues to grow, so do their staffing needs.  I am currently looking for an SPM or AD to join this organization’s US Nephrology Marketing team.

  

 

TITLE:                          Senior Product Manager/Associate Director US Marketing - Nephrology

 

REPORTS TO:              Sr. Director US Marketing - Nephrology

 

SALARY RANGE:         SPM:  Up to $140k base, plus bonus and equity

                                    AD:    Up to $160k base, plus bonus and equity

 

RELO:                          Yes (lump sum allocation)

 

 

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Nephrology Marketing this position will plan, coordinate, and in collaboration with US Commercial Sales, directly execute US Marketing strategic plans for the Nephrology Therapeutic Areas (NTA).  The individual will work closely with staff across the Nephrology Marketing TAs to implement projects, manage resources/budgets, and track outcomes.  Requires strong scientific/clinical/product/business acumen with a demonstrated ability to discuss and relate complex concepts with relevant stakeholders.  Proven ability to coordinate and implement multiple projects simultaneously.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS REQUIRED FOR JOB

 

  • Support Senior Director in the execution of US Marketing tactics, i.e. Congress management, National Sales Meeting marketing support, development of marketing tools and resources for the Diagnostic Lab Specialist and Regional Clinical Specialist teams, relationship marketing responsibilities. 
  • Strategic alignment with marketing/commercial messaging across regions and TAs and cross-functionally with Medical Affairs and Scientific Communications.
  • Participate in the execution of commercial objectives by the development and updating of tools and slide decks to drive education and awareness of disease, diagnostic and treatment objectives.
  •  Manage and deliver projects on time and within budget. Strict adherence to compliance with internal processes regarding legal, regulatory and financial policies and procedures required.

     

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED


Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred


Experience
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical marketing experience (client side)
  • Specialty product experience
  • Desire to work in small pharma
  • Passion for pharma
  • Dynamic personality
  • Ability to grow; fast-tracker mentality
  • Roll up your sleeves personality
  • Launch experience a plus
  • Prefer global experience, but will look at US as well
  • Ability to quickly understand and communicate all clinical data/publications to support business objectives
  • Ability to solve problems that include multiple decision makers and carry several options for solutions, as well as persuasive written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix organization/environment
