My client, a small, global, publicly traded biopharmaceutical company, based in CT (2 hours from Boston and 1 ½ hours from NYC) develops drugs that inhibit certain immune system functions that cause auto immune disorders, cancers, and other diseases.  Their marketed product is for the treatment of a rare genetic blood disorder.  They are developing the same antibody as a potential treatment for other auto immune and inflammatory conditions. 

 

 

My client focuses on developing and delivering life-changing therapies for patients with serious and life-threatening conditions.  In addition, they work with patient organizations around the world to sup port patient education programs.

As the company continues to grow, so do their staffing needs.  I am currently looking for an SPM or AD to join this organizations Global Nephrology Marketing team.

  

 

TITLE:                          Senior Product Manager/Associate Director Global Marketing - Nephrology

 

REPORTS TO:              Sr. Director Global Marketing

 

SALARY RANGE:         SPM:  Up to $140k base, plus bonus and equity

                                    AD:    Up to $150k base, plus bonus and equity

 

RELO:                          Yes (lump sum allocation)

 

 

The Senior Product Manager/Associate Director Global Marketing Nephrology, as a member of the brand team, will drive the global marketing of a novel orphan therapy in the nephrology space. He/she will contribute to the development of the global marketing strategy, support its implementation in all regions outside North America and be a key contact point with country marketing managers.

 


Responsibility


 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Marketing Nephrology, key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Creates and manages promotional and medical education initiatives for the global launch of product into the nephrology space
  • Key contact for the country marketing managers
  • Conducts appropriate market research
  • Ensures consistent implementation of the global brand strategy across countries
  • Participates in the development of product positioning and segmentation strategy that will contribute to the long-term growth of the company (i.e. lifecycle management, business development etc.)
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with other functional areas and internal strategic partners (i.e. promotional review process team, medical, regulatory, clinical, legal etc. )
  • Manages promotional budget
  • Manages agencies
  • Medical education initiatives
  • Promotional materials

 

Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in life science and/or business / marketing required; MBA preferred
  • 3+ years of commercial and/or marketing experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech company, with experience in managing or launching a specialty or biotech product.
  • Experience in Transplant a strong plus
  • Experience in marketing of orphan drugs and/or a global marketing role is desirable.
  • Experience in managing external promotional and medical education agencies and vendors on a day-to-day basis, and managing promotional budgets.  
  • Fluency in English both written and oral mandatory, fluency in other languages is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time
