The successful candidate manager overall marketing programs for residential products across the North American SBUs including wholesale and retail.

 

Responsibilities to include:

  • Develop and maintain cross functional partnerships for alignment with engineering, quality, manufacturing, procurement and marketing communications on understanding of market demands and competitive challenges.
  • Champion the voice of customer and introduce best practices in strategic marketing regarding portfolio development, pricing, go to market strategies.
  • Ensure the continued support of the existing product line and the development of new development projects.
  • Foster sales & service growth via proactive communications, training, technical and sales presentations and other sales tools.
  • Determine customer requirements for new applications, technical issues, and certifications through field based interactions and respond accordingly following a business focused assessment of the market significance.
  • Select, develop and motivate the residential product management team members.
  • Be the market expert for industry trends, business drivers, competitive forces and emerging technologies.
  • Utilize the market intelligence to direct new product development and marketing campaigns. 
  • Create product development plans for new products; capture voice of the customer market data, support the development of business plans for strategic projects associated with new products, cost reductions and other growth initiatives
  • Provide market led input to the product design and timeline throughout all phases of the product development. Facilitate teamwork across multiple departments including Procurement, Quality, Production, Marketing Communications in order to meet the agreed timeline for new product introductions.
  • Coordinate the development of all product launch materials to affect a comprehensive sales support and communications campaign.
  • Develop an annual communications plan for all associated product lines.
  • Develop training tools & campaigns for the sales team that focus on the product strengths in key applications that meet the end users’ requirements.
  • Review unit and revenue based sales, pricing and profitability for all associated product lines.

The desired candidate will possess:

B.S. in Business or Engineering, advanced degree is preferable.

Previous success in product management of plumbing products or appliances.

Ability to collaborate with large numbers of people for gathering information, communicating strategy, and getting buy-in.

Self directed, proactive, high energy.

Excellent organization skills.

 

Must be willing to travel
