Description:

As one of our Senior Search Product Managers, you will have End to End responsibility of our Search Products. Our goal is to take Telenav’s search capabilities to the next level by incorporating social, location, and behavioral data and producing the best local search and discovery solution on the market!

You will be responsible for our Search Products through their entire life cycle; gathering product requirements and use cases, creating design concepts, working with the design team to define product user interfaces, working closely with engineering and marketing to implement and launch the product into the market. Your job will be to provide a creative and competitive approach to ensure Telenav’s Search Features are at the Top of Their Class.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform competitive market research and work with marketing and business development to define product strategy and roadmap
• Write detailed MRD's and PRD's
• Closely interact with design, engineering, QA, and operations to negotiate requirements and develop release plans
• Organize and conduct useability tests
• Provide Input and Creative Ideas to product and engineering teams

Requirements:

• Five or more years experience in requirements gathering, MRD/PRD creation, use case development, and product release/launch for software applications
• 5+ years of experience with web or local search products
• Good understanding of search and related algorithms and ability to intelligently converse with engineers and scientists
• Exposure to machine learning
• Having prior development experience is a big plus. This is a good opportunity for a senior engineer who wants to transition into product management.
• Good knowledge and direct experience of data analytics and insights.  Ability to use analytics and insights to develop use case and product features
• You should be senior but hands on, passionate about products, mobile, and search
• Ability to work with cross functional teams, juggle priorities, and make informed judgment calls
• Current knowledge of the competitive landscape of search companies and products both in the web and mobile areas
• BS required – MS/MBA a plus
