I am currently looking for a Senior Product Manager to join my client's team due to expansion. This position is equivalent to a Director level role in many companies. The position requires prior experience in brand ownership.
TITLE: Senior Product Manager
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Marketing
SALARY RANGE: Flexible depending on candidate experience
Target bonus of 25%, with payout as high as 150% of target
RELO: Full relo available
The SPM will be responsible for developing brand strategies and tactics; gaining broad organizational consensus; influencing multiple, diverse stakeholders to ensure sound tactical implementation; and driving brand profitability. |
Responsibilities: |
- Interacting with internal/external customers and interpreting market/market research data to identify relevant trends and customer needs, and develop creative solutions to address them
- Monitoring product and market performance and perceptions, and recommending adjustments to positioning, strategy, and lifecycle management as necessary
- Providing specific direction to partner agencies to conceive differentiating marketing programs and tools, and providing leadership throughout the internal review and approval process
- Incorporating consumer, e-marketing, and public relations principles into brand strategies and programs
- Fostering collaboration with partners in sales and sales management, learning and development, and other key commercial functions
- Developing and refining market and product forecasts (providing input), and optimizing brand profitability, i.e. revenue, expenses and patient rebate programs
- Providing commercial direction to manufacturing and sample management partners

Qualifications: |
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
- At least 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry; three to five years in marketing
- Dermatology experience a solid plus, but not required
- Pharma sales experience preferred
- Launch experience a plus
- Experience leading the development of brand strategies and tactics
- Experience implementing programs across the pharmaceutical promotional mix
- Experience marketing or launching products in a crowded and weakly differentiated market
- Understanding of the regulatory guidelines and laws governing promotion of pharmaceutical products
- Ability to hit the ground running
- Ability to work in a VERY fast-paced environment
