The Data Loss Prevention solutions strengthen and complement Symantec's existing portfolio of endpoint, network and storage products and have already shown enormous growth and success as a new business unit within Symantec. Symantec Data Loss Prevention solutions lead the market with technology that discovers, monitors and protects confidential data to help organizations ensure public confidence, demonstrate compliance and maintain competitive advantage. Symantec Data Loss Prevention customers include many of the worlds largest and most data-driven enterprises and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• This is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior product marketing role with Symantec's Data Loss Prevention (DLP) product line. According to a leading third-party research firm, the InfoPro, DLP is the number one pain point for Chief Information Security Officer's today. With the cost of data breaches continuing to rise, DLP is a relevant technology getting lots of attention in the market today. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for global messaging, marketing strategy and go-to-market plan. You will be a key member of the high performance DLP team and work closely with product management, sales, campaigns, marcom, Analyst Relations and Public Relations teams to drive revenue of the product line world-wide.
• Work with sales, product management, corporate marketing and other cross-functional teams to drive market leadership, awareness and revenue.
• Own messaging and sales tools across DLP products including competitive analysis, channel sales tools, demos, collateral, whitepapers, web content,, etc.
• Partner closely with sales management to understand sales process and priorities to build field enablement programs to meet revenue goals.
• Drive and communicate go to market strategy with cross-functional teams.
• Manage launch planning and roll out for new products, new versions, industries and geographies.
• Own partner and channel enablement, training strategy and content delivery.
• Work closely with demand generation and field marketing teams on marketing program strategy and content creation for conferences, trade shows, webcasts, and field events.
• Create product and theme-based content for global campaigns
• Drive strategy and content for website and collateral.
• Build positive relationships with industry analysts. Build content for analyst briefings and inquiry calls.
• Spokesperson for product line for executive briefings, analyst briefings, press briefings, industry events, webcasts, tradeshows, etc.
• Some travel required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with marketing and/or product management in software or services.
• Established track record with outbound marketing and field support.
• Knowledge of enterprise sales process and customer buying behavior for software.
• Proven experience spearheading successful integrated product launches with measurable results.
• Experience building sales tools to drive competitive wins.
• Strong presentation skills and experience presenting to customer executives, press, and analysts.
• Strong analytical skills and passion for analyzing go to market strategies, products, competitors, and market dynamics.
• Goal-driven approach to solving problems and managing projects.
• Self-starter and independent operator with ability to drive both strategy and contribute with individual execution.
• Entrepreneurial, start-up mentality; can handle a variety of duties, situations, people, challenges, and opportunities.
• Security, networking, partner, channel, and/or international experience a strong plus.
• Excellent and creative written and oral communication skills.
