Senior Production Oracle DBA ~ 10g, 11g, RAC
Senior Production Oracle DBA – Monday through Friday/Day Shift - You will provide production support for multiple databases ranging in size from 100GB to multiple terabytes of data. In this position you will be one of a team (approximately 10-15) of DBA’s responsible for ensuring that corporate and enterprise-wide systems are up and available
- You will be responsible for providing remote production database management and administration services for the ORACLE relational database management system (RDBMS) in support of distributed business applications (on site w/ the customer remote support)
- This covers direct support of the ORACLE RDBMS itself, including, but not necessarily limited to: backup, recovery, ORACLE instance performance monitoring and tuning, problem resolution, capacity planning, software version control, implementation, space allocation and management, migration, standards identification and compliance, fault tolerance planning, new product/release evaluation and support.
- The core hours for this position consist of an 8-hour shift Monday - Friday between the hours of 7am and 7pm.
- This is a 24x7x365 environment and requires the ability to work overtime and night/weekend shift coverage if required; basically, you will work an 8-hour shift most of the time and will have the ability to have a life outside of work as well (work/life balance)
- A minimum of three years experience within the last five years in large production (terabytes) DBA environment. Must have excellent production DBA experience with Oracle (10g, 11g, etc.), RMAN, RAC; ability to work w/ Oracle RDBMS itself as well as tools. Must have 10g, 11g, RAC and/or design/development to some degree to be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related discipline.
- Requires: US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a government clearance; cannot have been outside of the country for more than 30 consecutive days during the past 5 years.
Location: Raleigh, NC Pay Rate: $30-37 per hour with benefits (health, dental, vision, disability, 401K); Salary target range: $65-75K
