This position provides a lead role in the design, development and support of technology solutions for Monster’s business processes focused on Oracle E-Business Suite modules including Financials, HRMS, and Self-Service applications.  Experience with custom and package technical applications are highly desirable with skills in, but not limited to, Oracle and Java.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Work closely with end users in delivering high-quality application solutions that meet the business requirement.
  • Write detailed technical design documents before building application solutions for the business requirements.
  • Code, test, debug, and document more complex programs, and enhance existing programs to ensure that data processing production systems continue to meet user needs.
  • Provide guidance and training to less-experienced programmers in order to improve productivity and efficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
  • Analyze and resolve help desk tickets that are opened by business users.
  • Experience with Oracle tools. Self starter utilizing and researching Oracle's latest technologies to resolve business issues.
  • Resolve issues using standard Oracle applications and processes
  • Interacting with Oracle via their formal Metalink SR process in order to secure assistance and solutions for problems which are beyond the internal capabilities to solve
  • Conducting or participating in requirement/analysis sessions
  • Perform modifications including E-Business suite changes, report writing, and the maintenance of various application interfaces with other systems.
  • Perform other duties that align with the position as delegated.

 

 



Job Requirements:

Education:   

 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.

 

Experience

 

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in the IT industry
  • 8 to 10 years programming experience
  • 5+ years of PL/SQL development experience
  • Expertise in two or more of the following functional areas:  Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, CRM, Order Management, Financials, and HRMS
  • Extensive experience in Oracle11i; Oracle R12 experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • In depth experience in using Oracle Database 9i and 10g.
  • Client/Server experience preferred
  • Strong development experience in Forms, Reports, SQL, PL/SQL, and Workflow; XML and Java highly desirable
  • SOA experience
  • Oracle Application Framework experience
  • Prefer experience, training or knowledge of various software development methodologies
  • Requires technical and management skills appropriate to the position
  • Requires strong oral and written communication
  • Must be a creative problem solver, flexible, proactive, and work in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Minimal travel. Extended weekend and evening work required for an on-call rotation as well as during implementations and to meet project deadlines.

 

 

Skills:

 

  • General knowledge of database programming and systems analysis procedures.
  • The ability to write and understand complex SQL statements and PL/SQL code
  • SQL Loader and other data loader tools
  • Should have strong RDBMS concepts
  • Business systems knowledge a plus (i.e. Financials, HR, supply chain, manufacturing) is advantageous
  • Ability to manage stress and pressure inherent to application development, implementation, and support.
  • Able to identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems in a production controlled environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
