Senior Project Engineer

Our client is a manufacturer of steel products that are heavily utilized by Oil and Gas companies.  There is a need for a Senior Project Engineer who will lead a team of Project Engineers and have responsibility for a multi-million capital improvement budget.  This company is well respected in its industry and offers tremendous career growth opportunities to the right person.   

  RESPONSIBILITIES

•          Reports to Plant Manager
•          Responsible for developing project estimates and capital project plans
•          Responsible for executing capital projects and providing engineering support.
•          Responsible for ensuring assigned projects are within budget and on time.

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

•         Bachelor’s Degree in  Mechanical Engineering
•         You must hold either a Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate, or a Certified Project Manager certificate.
•    You must have experience managing single capital projects greater than $5 Million, and have experience managing multiple simultaneous projects that are valued $50k+
•         You must have at least ten years experience with Mechanical & Electrical Capital Projects.  This includes management of Project Engineers as well.  Those without people management experience will not be considered.
•         Your experience must come from some sort of heavy industry, i.e. – Steel Industry, Paper Industry, Forging, Pipe & Tube Mill, or any other heavy manufacturing company that does high speed processing.  Job shop work experience is not desired.

•         Strong Work Ethic
•         Willing to learn new technologies and methods to project management
