Our client is a manufacturer of steel products that are heavily utilized by Oil and Gas companies. There is a need for a Senior Project Engineer who will lead a team of Project Engineers and have responsibility for a multi-million capital improvement budget. RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to Plant Manager
Responsible for developing project estimates and capital project plans
Responsible for executing capital projects and providing engineering support.
Responsible for ensuring assigned projects are within budget and on time.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
You must hold either a Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate, or a Certified Project Manager certificate.
You must have experience managing single capital projects greater than $5 Million, and have experience managing multiple simultaneous projects that are valued $50k+
You must have at least ten years experience with Mechanical & Electrical Capital Projects. This includes management of Project Engineers as well. Those without people management experience will not be considered.
Your experience must come from some sort of heavy industry, i.e. – Steel Industry, Paper Industry, Forging, Pipe & Tube Mill, or any other heavy manufacturing company that does high speed processing. Job shop work experience is not desired.
