Description: The Electrical Project Engineer position supports Engineering Department initiatives and projects as directed. The position is responsible for managing several Capital / Repair projects concurrently, handling "special projects" that are not part of the regular Capital Budget, and participating in Planning / Studies. The position is also responsible for providing engineering support to production processes and maintenance systems. Duties and Responsibilities include the following: · Responsible for managing the Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Start Up activities of capital and major expense projects to ensure that cost, schedule, and performance objectives are met. · Ensures that safe practices are followed in the installation of all assigned projects. · Ensure that all projects assigned are installed in compliance with the requirements of the Environmental Management System. · Has no direct supervisory responsibility but is required to provide direction to other Project Engineers, CAD Operators/Designers, Consulting Engineers, Maintenance Supervisors and Craftsmen, and Outside Contractors. · Recommends plant improvements based on engineering studies and maintenance inspections. Evaluates alternatives that are beneficial to plant reliability and performance. · Manage mill-wide Power Study. - Short circuit analysis and protective relay coordination. · Manage ‘Arc Flash Analysis’ program, keep records, and coordinate with maintenance. · Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Qualifications and Skills: · Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), or similar discipline. · Minimum of 7 years experience in the field of Engineering in a manufacturing environment. · Experience with MCC’s, PLC’s, VFD’s, Power Generation, and Electrical Distribution Systems. · Strong interpersonal skills · Excellent written and oral communications skills · Experience using Electrical Codes and Standards · Working knowledge of electrical safety requirements of NFPA 70E · Demonstrated Project Management Skills · Computer Skills using MS Office Suite Desired Qualifications and Skills: · Working knowledge of Paper Industry equipment and processes. · Working knowledge of Power Studies – Short Circuit Analysis & Protective Relay Coordination · Working knowledge of SKM software (Power Study) Working knowledge of SAP software Glatfelter offers an excellent benefits package including pension, 401k w/ match, health and dental insurance, vacation, etc. EEOC m/f/d/v
