Senior Project Engineer

Vita-Mix Corporation, a thriving, world-wide, Company, located in Northeast Ohio, is on track to fulfill our Vision of being “The BEST Blending Equipment Company in the World.”  We are undergoing a growth cycle to meet market demand.   We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to coordinate with the Strategic Planning Committee on new product development and follow through with approvals, updates and resource allocation, budget and time considerations to complete the development of new products. Manage responsibilities, and the personnel working in listed areas of responsibility.

Some of the responsibilities include

·        Coordinate with the Strategic Planning Committee to insure that the conceptualization and formation of new product ideas fit into Vita-Mix Corporation’s product mix. 

·        Responsible for the creation, approval, and fulfillment of appropriate scheduling and budgeting for assumed projects.

·        Responsible for resource appropriation and allocation to fulfill assigned projects.

·        Prepare for and conduct engineering design reviews on new products and improvements to existing products.

·        Responsible for the coordination and organization of the Oversight Committee and the Project Approval Officers to include meetings and approvals.

·        Develop, design and upgrade products and/or components to meet corporate needs.

·        Test components and/or products for durability, functionality and aesthetics.

·        Assure products and product components comply with safety agencies.

·        Write or have written, implement and update procedures.

·        Develop and maintain working relationships with vendors to gain assistance in product decisions and assist purchasing in vendor choice and performance.

·        Specify and oversee the set up of new equipment, ensure satisfactory operation and instruct others on how to use new equipment properly.

·        Expand upon current knowledge of manufacturing technology and equipment, available materials, their potential applications, and new and available design systems.  

·        Maintain department and company image and philosophy.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering Technology
• 6-10 years related experience
• Proficiency in CAD and all MicroSoft Office programs
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical skills
