Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Develops and submits project proposals or plans to client to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. Client visibility and will deal directly with the client. Prepares contract documents and maintains documentation throughout project for assigned projects. Manage all aspects of Capital Work Orders on the work order management system; specifically verifying job numbers, description for accuracy prior to Billing Process. Confers with account staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Management to maintain a 6 month forward plan of anticipated work with the support of Project Management. Flag any possible resource issues as you identify them and consult with colleagues to maximize on Agency creative resource to minimize the impact (financial or otherwise) of such issues.

Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel on assigned projects to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Manage and submit required Project Group reports i.e.; Committed Cost.

Identifies Process Improvement and Quality Assessment initiatives. Provides project coordination of special multi affiliate projects. Ongoing collaboration with Team Leaders to identify any ways of improving work-smart processes, examining existing Producer structure against client needs identifying areas for improvement within the process going forward.

Financial Management consistently monitor the financial status of any client projects in the Agency, highlighting budget issues with A/c Management as they arise, Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.

Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments


Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Project Management software.
