


Our client, a global leader in the on-line education industry, is embarking on a major technology transformation/refresh and is seeking expert IT consulting professionals to join their expanding IT organization immediately. Currently they have an opening for Sr. Project Manager. The Senior Project Manager will be a member of the IT Portfolio and Project Management Office (PMO) and will report to a Senior Member (Program Manager) in the PMO. Duties include but are not limited to the following: · Manage all aspects of multiple projects of medium complexity for the respective lines of business from inception/concept (business case/roadmap) through delivery. · Lead the overall project, not just the IT portion · Lead projects in a transparent and productive way, applying standard project management practice · Develop the project's key objectives, scope, success criteria and communicate them effectively across the project team · Plan, schedule, and track project deliverables and milestones using Microsoft Project · Conduct user acceptance testing · Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholder's in a timely and clear fashion · Coordinate with the respective lines of business to develop and enhance tools and applications that will help the stakeholders meet their business objectives · Manage project resources from other groups and/or 3rd parties in a matrix environment · Communicate formally and informally through existing forums to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management · Ensure projects are delivered on-time/on budget and exceeding stakeholders expectations · Lead project meetings with a broad cross functional team to communicate the status of various projects, discuss issues/risks, and understand the impact of any changes to business requirements Required education and experience: · Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline · 8+ years as a Project/Program Manager or comparably responsible position in a mid-to large-sized Information Technology department. Preferred education and experience: · Advanced Degree · Formalized project management training and certifications (CAPM or PMP) · Business analysis training and certifications · Quality assurance training and certifications · Commercial work experience in any of the following environments: o Web-based applications, ERP, Retail or E-tail, CRM, Infrastructure; · A strong technical aptitude and/or experience (e.g. working knowledge of database table structures, development tools, architecture, telecommunications, etc.)
