Senior Project Manager
About the Job
Holland Square Group is an Information Technology consulting company specializing in private professional searches, consulting services, and outsourcing/off-shore services for special projects. We have a senior level position for Senior IT Project Manager to work directly with our clients.
The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing large enterprise wide application and/or implementation projects including all phases of project management.
JOB DUTIES and EXPECTATIONS:
Works with the Project Management Office to implement innovative processes or changes that improves the successful delivery and completion of projects.
Demonstrated experience in development, maintenance, and completion of standard project management documents including but not limited to project charters, scope documents, status reporting, project budgets including burn rate, project planning, issue tracking, risk mitigation planning, time tracking, change management, and communication planning.
Effectively leads and facilitates all project related meetings and communications with IT Team Members, Business Partners, and Executive Leadership to ensure projects are on target to meet their deadlines.
Successful in keeping all parties related to the project informed of progress and/or status addressing underlying needs that affect project delivery.
Proactive identifies and researches opportunities, issues and requests and communicates with the team. Has foresight into potential risks and has the ability to execute plan(s) to avoid risks before they occur.
Ability to strategically and tactfully determine resolutions to issues as they arise without direction. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion. Manages risks and mitigations accordingly.
Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.
Creates and executes timely project work plans with proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
Maintains a high degree of customer/client/sponsor satisfaction while also maintaining necessary project controls.
Participates in interviewing and selection of candidates when additional contract labor is needed for projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in IT Project Management role including significant experience in enterprise wide application and/or implementation projects.
- Proven experience and track record of successfully developing and managing projects within deadlines and budgets.
- Minimum of 10 years with Data mapping, database and/or software experience.
- Extensive experience with core PM tools including Microsoft Project 2007 Professional, 2003, Microsoft Office 2003/2007 Professional (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Access, etc.), and others.
- Ability to additional work hours as needed.
- BA/BS or equivalent experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
PMP certified preferred.
Clinical Healthcare related experience required working with clinical workflows, implementations, and project planning preferred.
EDI transactions experience preferred.
AGILE and SCRUM Project Methodologies preferred.
