POSITION
DESCRIPTION



The Senior Project Manager consistently
meets client expectations, both defined and implied, by successfully managing
projects through meeting program objectives in parallel with balancing scope,
time, cost and quality.  He/she must have
a solid understanding of project management tools and approaches to manage
complex, multi-disciplinary projects, and the knowledge and social skills
needed to lead diverse and dynamic teams.



The Senior Project Manager is a key
leadership role which assists in delivery to our objectives through successful
projects and customer relationships. 
He/she is responsible for business development, preparing proposals and for
managing projects through all phases, including scope development, cost
estimating, design,  procurement,
construction, commissioning, startup, and hand-over to the Owner. 



This
position is located in Madison, Wisconsin; consistently rated as one of the top
places to live in the U.S.  Relocation
costs are paid for by ACS.

 



REQUIRED
SKILLS



Business acumen, solid judgment,
open-mindedness, communication, leadership, client relationships, negotiation
skills, project management, design experience in one primary
discipline/secondary across all disciplines, solid construction knowledge,
clear decision making, conflict resolution, tact, adaptability, analytical

REQUIRED
EXPERIENCE



To perform the job successfully, an individual
must be able to perform each previously stated duty satisfactorily. The
requirements
listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and
ability necessary to succeed as a Project Manager.



  • ·        
    Minimum
    bachelor’s degree in an engineering or construction-related field.
  • ·        
    Minimum
    15 – 20 years of progressively responsible project design, project execution and  
    management experience.
  • ·        
    Minimum
    of 5 years’ relevant design experience.
  • ·        
    Experience
    in leading design teams consisting of multiple disciplines; process,
    mechanical, electrical, controls, civil, structural, architectural
  • ·        
    Experience
    in organizing and leading execution teams in purchasing, contracting,
    construction, commissioning, and turnover.
  • ·        
    Demonstrated
    experience in meeting project schedules and budgets with detail knowledge of
    scheduling, change management, cost control and issues resolution.
  • ·        
    Experienced
    in full project lifecycles from business development to final delivery
  • ·        
    Experience managing multiple technically complex projects
    simultaneously
  • ·        
    Client
    management experience with demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining strong
    client relationships.
  • ·        
    Demonstrated
    excellent professional writing skills.
  • ·        
    Ability
    and willingness to travel, both nationally and overseas, and work necessary
    overtime, in order to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
  • ·        
    Exposure
    to and/or formal training in structured project management and delivery
    methods.
  • ·        
    Project
    Management Professional certification (PMP) preferred.
  • ·        
    Professional
    Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
