SUMMARY

Under limited supervision, provides life-cycle project management to customers including but not limited to, developing and maintaining multiple integrated project schedules, developing project plans, preparing status briefings, tracking metrics, performing detailed analyses from program data; recommending solutions to customers, facilitating meetings and teleconferences to track and resolve telecommunications installation issues. Ensures quality assurance processes are followed from the commencement of a project to its conclusion. Works closely with departmental managers as well as sales, marketing, and R&D staff.

A Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful achievement of the project including its business performance, technical and schedule performance, quality, financial and contractual aspects to the customer and stakeholder satisfaction.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

·         BSEE, BSCS or related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         PMP or Six Sigma certifications a plus

·         Minimum of ten years project management experience in telephony and telecommunications, CTI experience desirable.

·         In-depth knowledge of telephony standards and regulations.

·         Experience with emergency communication systems, emergency response, networks and peripheral equipment.

·         Technical planning experience is a plus.

·         Board knowledge of Public Safety communication products, solutions and systems.

·         Experience working with Public Safety, military and government customers.

·         Proficient with project management PC tools, preferably MS Project, Excel, Word.

·         Excellent conflict resolution skills.

·         Excellent presentation skills in technical and non-technical areas to board audiences including executive management and/or customers and channels.

·         Exceptional interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team environment, cross-functional team environment, as well as independently and with customers and channels.

·         Ability to build and lead a team with a common goal - to deliver a project within schedule and budget with the highest level of quality possible.

·         Ability to communicate and build alliances up, down and across the organization.

·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

·         Ability to travel 75% of the time, sometimes on short notice and for extended periods.

·         Ability to work the required hours of the position.
