Senior Project Manager, Power System Studies

The Position
- Conduct research related to integration of distributed renewable into the electric grid.
- Manage research by others related to integration of distributed renewable into the electric grid.
- Support other on the program 174 team in planning and achieving project objectives in this area.
Job Functions:
- Ability to apply technical knowledge to industry issues and gain input on needs from members and identify current and emerging technical issues
- Provide a technical service to EPRI customers and develop research or service opportunities of value to them that fit EPRI’s mission and capabilities. This will include solving customer problems, producing insights and information vital to the members, and delivering information in a manner that members and customers can and will apply.
- Identifies the most qualified internal and contractor team to complete the work. Selects contractors, frames statements of work. Directs the work of the team to assure technical and financial milestones are met.
- Provides assistance to EPRI sales staff in Member Services and EPRI International.
- Maintains technical expertise and good national and international technical networks with manufacturers, consultants, academia and research organizations.
- Communicates strategies and results, written and verbal, to program membership and potential members through guidelines, reports, meetings, webcasts, workshops and conferences.
Ideal Candidate:

- Good written and verbal communication and project management skills
- Experience in performing and/or managing research activities
- Team Player, willing to support others research objectives and deliverables
Educational Level and Years of Experiences:
- Technical or BS Degree in Engineering or Sciences with minimum of 5 -10 years of prior related experience. Individuals with advanced degrees may qualify with fewer years of work experience. Master's degree preferred.
