THE JOB OPPORTUNITY:
Senior QA Analyst
WE OFFER THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
· Create test plans, test cases (for manual and automated testing), test procedures, and test scripts.
· Perform regression testing (manual and automated) for applications, production releases, and related systems.
· Work closely with user community to create UAT test cases and coordinate UAT testing and manage issues/bugs from UAT to resolution.
· Serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a given project.
· Work collaboratively with the various teams in the company.
WE EXPECT THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE TO:
· Test existing and new functionality of applications and related systems.
· Handle multiple projects and directives in a fast-paced environment.
· Analyze bug reports, collect missing information and prepare test cases for Quality Assurance and Operation groups.
· Evolve and maintain automated testing for new functionality and identified bugs.
· Have experience automating/load testing web, J2EE applications with Oracle/Sybase databases environments.
· Have experience in translating business requirements into test scenarios and based on them, creating test cases and test plans.
· Have experience in conducting performance and other functional and non-functional automated testing.
· Have experience in collecting and analyzing patterns of issues, root causes and systematic problems.
· Have experience in developing test plans, test cases (manual and automated), test procedures, test scripts, and expected results.
Required Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors’ degree in information technology or equivalent is required.
· Have 5-7 years of testing experience preferably in an environment that has both off the shelf and in house developed applications.
· Have experience in using HP/Mercury suite of tools for automating functional testing.
· Strong knowledge of writing SQL queries in Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server databases environments.
· Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills and a comfort level in communicating with individuals and groups.
· Insurance industry experience is preferred.
