Work as part of a team of QA engineers to develop test infrastructure, test plans, test automation and testing strategies for the implementation of highly scalable and reliable enterprise n-tier distributed systems. We are looking for a person with 'agile development' mindset: customer focused, results oriented, craftsman like approach, continuous learning, and collaborative. You will contribute to the QA of our enterprise class campaign management and email technology platform.

Position Details:

- Assignment to run 40 hours per week from 11/16/09 until 4/30/2010 with potential to convert to a permanent opportunity.

- Design, develop and execute test plans.

- Develop both automated and manual test cases.

- Contribute to design and development of test architecture and test infrastructure.

- Work closely with software engineers in flushing out complex test case scenarios.

- Contribute to test methodology and testing best practices.

- Develop tools and utilities for execution in test infrastructure.

- Ability to work as part of a self-directed team, in which you determine your tasks on a daily basis in coordination with co-workers, rather than waiting for work to be assigned to you

- BS/BA in Computer Science or related industry experience is required.

- 3 to 7 years of experience testing enterprise class software.

- Knowledge of Unix/Linux system administration maintaining testing server farms.

- Unix/Linux shell scripting skills a plus.

- Experience with interpreted languages (Perl and PHP preferred).

- Experience testing Java and J2EE (JSP, Servlets) applications on UNIX/Linux.

- Experience setting up and configuring Web Servers (i.e. Apache) and J2EE Application Servers (i.e. Tomcat, JBoss).

- Experience using relational databases required (Oracle preferred).

- Extensive troubleshooting experience spanning hardware, software, and network infrastructures.

- Experience with commercial and open source testing software and tools.

- Experience in context-based, exploratory, or scenario testing a plus.
