Job Description:
Your primary responsibilities will be to:
-Determine and implement test strategies and quality assurance best practices for complex online applications and services
-Gather test requirements from functional specifications and design documents
-Develop and execute functional, integration, system, performance, stress, and load test plans
-Construct, maintain and execute automated test scripts
-Identify, reproduce and track defects
-Determine release readiness
-Improve the release process
-Hire QA team based on business need
The successful candidate will need:
-4+ years hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance for enterprise or high availability internet services
-Demonstrated ability to design test methodology and execute test plans to deliver high quality software in a startup company environment
-Strong skill in back-end white box testing using tools such as: Unix shell scripts, SQL queries, PL/SQL, JUnit, TestNG
-Experience with integrated system testing using diagnostic tools to measure CPU, IO, and memory utilization
-Strong experience with automated, performance and load testing (using tools such as Silk Test or Load Runner) on complex enterprise or internet software systems
-Possess drive and passion to see a project from inception to successful completion
-A desire to work in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment and show ability and willingness to proactively interact creatively and achieve results
-Excellent communications and problem solving skills
-BE/BS/BA in technology or related field
Additional preferred skills:
Strong understanding of relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL
Release management including:
-Upgrading test environments
-Upgrading production environments
-Upgrade verification
-Automation of the release process
-Development of processes and programs to allow release of the application to a third party
