We seek a senior QA/ Test professional with advanced knowledge in the end to end testing of complex trading or transaction processing systems.  Applications are multi threaded, low level server calls, so you must understand messaging and protocols, in depth.  This will be both manual and automated testing, so you’ll need to have experience writing automated test tools and scripts.  Your goal will be to ensure the quality and integrity of the trading system software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:         

• Work closely with internal and external teams to test complex applications.
• Understand and Analyze business and functional requirements to develop test plans, scripts and test cases
• Execute tests and processes for all applications to ensure QA policies and standards are met
• Execute regression test scripts to ensure the application remains in compliance with business standards
• Perform internal application testing and end-to-end to testing with client/exchange
• Identify discrepancies, report defects utilizing the internal tracking application, communicate with the development team via established process, and track them to resolution
• Work independently on projects assigned
• Interact within a team structure and often on ad hoc basis and multiple activities.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills: 

• Requires strong, methodical approach to problem solving.
• Familiarity with Equities and general market knowledge is a plus.
• Must be detail oriented and demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
• Ability to work independently or within a team structure.
• Excellent organizational skills are required with the ability to multitask between several different tasks that involve data analysis, designing test cases, and executing test scenarios.
• Proven aptitude in reconciling business requirements with testing requirements
• Self-Motivated
• Be a quick learner; individuals are required to jump into projects and areas where they may not have experience

Experience:

• Minimum four years of experience in technology.

• Must have knowledge of QA methodologies with the emphasis on writing and executing test scripts.

• Proficient in testing processes, standards and methodologies
• Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Demonstrated experience in leading projects.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing test plans, test scripts, and test cases
• Experience utilizing defect tracking software
• Experience in test automation and writing automation scripts a plus
• Experience with Order Management Systems and/or the FIX protocol a big plus.
