The Sr Quality Engineer will lead the cross-functional team and extended team in executing all aspects of product development from beginning of the Definition Phase through successful completion of the Launch Phase. The Sr Quality Engineer is ultimately responsible for the execution quality and results of the project and for the success of the resulting product in the market. Sr Team Leader should also be capable of managing varying degrees of the program’s size, cost, complexity, or risk.
Responsibilities include:
Defining, refining, and understanding customer requirements
Leading the creation of the cross-functional project plan, including budget and resource planning, to fulfill the product concept
Aligning and managing all activities to deliver the product on time and on budget while meeting all agreed upon technical, operational, business, and customer requirements
Successful commercial, design, and business project reviews while proposing solutions to unanticipated or potential issues/concerns as soon as they are known
Successful product design
Superior product quality in the field
Product acceptability by intended customers
Successful product commercialization
Coaching and mentoring new Core Team Leaders
The Sr Team Leader (Sr Quality Engineer) will have a deep understanding of disciplined product development through phase gate processes, regulatory and quality requirements, as well as high-volume manufacturing experience.
Requirements:
Minimum of MS in Mechanical, Biomedical, or related engineering field with 5 years of experience in medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry; an MBA or PhD is preferred
Successful track record of delivering products to market or in developing commercially viable technologies
Demonstrated strength in business acumen along with the breadth of technical, organizational, and leadership capabilities
Demonstrable accomplishments in leading cross-functional product development teams
This position will be based in New Jersey, and the pay will range between $120,000 and $150,000. Relocation assistance is available.
