Hands-on technology builder. Develop custom test vehicles and materials for solving thermal transfer problems. Lead all aspects of R&D for new product introductions. Typical material areas include\: composite formulations, surface/bonding applications, and liquid dispense/coatings for new thermal interface products. Application space spans Automotive, Industrial and Consumer Electronics segments. Independently lead multiple development projects from initiation through hand-off to manufacturing scale-up.

Proactively seeks technology, research or development projects that generate acompetitive edge.Hands-on attitude with desire to invent new materials and processes that change thetechnology landscape.Technical expert in adhesive chemistries, polymer network physics, highly filled suspensionrheology, and/or resin cure chemistry.Builds prototype methods or processes for spray coating, liquid coating patterning, andanalytical tools.Conducts programs for studying structures and properties of various materials such asmetals, alloys, ceramics, semiconductors and polymer composites to obtain research data.Manages projects independently, assesses logistical requirements to successfully completeprojects and plans accordingly.Translates customer and market feedback into technical specifications and developsproduct formulations and applicable data packages for specific customers and generalmarket.Provides work direction to technicians and/or Engineers/Scientists working on the projectsunder his/her leadership.Manages product development process via stage gate system in collaboration withprofessional project managers.Reads and interprets patents, examines new product concepts and technology, and determines how to improve or utilize technology. Generates intellectual property in the form of patents, trade secrets, and formulation know-how.Contributes actively to a safe work culture by applying and contributing to safetyprocedures and lab safety systems.Participates and presents papers at conferences, serves in professional committees.


Who we are looking for

Ph.D in Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related fields, with a minimum of 2years of industrial experience in materials research and development and thermal management or related products, or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related fields and a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in materials research and development and thermal management or related products, or B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related fields with a minimum of 10years of industrial experience in materials research and development and thermal management or related products, or Working experience with custom automation and coating/liquid dispensing equipment.Prefer fluency in spoken and written German including technical language and Europeanbusiness environment experience.Understanding of heat transfer fundamentals and thermal management issues preferred.Broad based knowledge of polymer science, including polymer chemistry, structure property relationships, rheology, bulk and adhesive mechanics of soft materialsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge MS Office, Labview,Autocad or solid drawing programs and other common technical software packages.
